Rohde Ecotop 60 – 13A – One of the Top Ten selling kilns from CTM
- Designed for continuous and regular use at temperatures suitable for earthenware,low to mid stoneware and 1240oC porcelain firing.
- 2-layer insulation concept with 35mm microporous board making this one of the most insulated kiln range available significantly reducing heat losses and energy usage and makes it one of the few 60 litre plug in kilns that can achieve stoneware temperatures at a gentle firing rate.
- Reversible kiln stand to lower or raise the kiln.
- Rohde kilns come as standard with the ST310 controller – with 32 program slots, each with two heating ramps, soak, one controlled cooling ramp and then natural cooling; it can be upgraded at the time of ordering the kiln to the ST411 controller which has 32 heating/cooling ramps and each ramp can have a soak. Both of the controllers can connect to your wifi if within range and then to the Rohde My App.
- The CTM 4 shelf set has 4 shelves instead of 2, has extra props including connectors and batt wash and costs no more than the standard Rohde set despite having about £55 worth of extra items.

ELECTRIC:- This kiln can be plugged straight in to a 13 amp socket but does need all 13 amps and for it to fit tight so that all three pins are held tightly – please do not use a standard household extension reel or a spur off a circuit. With the power turned off to that socket it is best for a capable person to check inside the socket that all the wires are nice and tight. Some people prefer to have it hard wired in to an isolator to give the most secure connection; or use a metal bodied socket. New regulations mean that there are now available in the UK EV approved white plastic sockets that are more resistant to long period of time at high pulls on the power than standard sockets.
