- Single phase kilns need an electrician fitted dedicated cable from the consumer unit – fuse board – to an isolator or blue commando socket of the right ampage close to the kiln; and a C Type MCB breaker in the fuse board – preferably not RCBO or RCD type breakers as they can be too sensitive. We do recommend that your electrician speak to us before installation of new cables etc. Please check with us which blue commando socket to use.
